AGE - Recent ORIGIN - Papua New Guinea COMPOSITION- Dried pulped bark of the paper mulberry tree. DESCRIPTION - This gorgeous tribal item was painted by the Maisin tribe of Papua New Guinea. The Maisin paint their designs on their tapa cloths using natural pigments derived from bark, charcoal and leaves. These cloths are used for clothing, trade, tribal ceremonies and as tribal art. CONDITION - Minor repairs to rear of piece, not visible from front face. SIZE - Size is 300mm x 580mm (12 x 23 inches) Turkish Patchwork

DESCRIPTION -Vibrant small size Turkish Patchwork made from pieces of richly coloured handwoven wool offcuts from various kilims. This textile could be used as a wall hanging, throw rug, or as a table runner. Beautiful reds, creamy taupe and black colours blend together to create this effective textile. CONDITION - Excellent SIZE - 600mm x 850mm (23 1/2 x 33 1/2 inches) Turkish Patchwork
AGE - New ORIGIN - Istanbul, Turkey. COMPOSITION- Offcuts from various woollen kilims. DESCRIPTION -Very effective large size Turkish Patchwork made from various pieces of handwoven wool offcuts from a variety of kilims. This textile could be used as a wall hanging, throw rug, or as a table runner. Various shades of yellow-khaki blend together with chocolate brown to create this wonderfully effective textile. This Turkish Patchwork would also produce an interesting textural effect paired with a neutral colour scheme or alternatively rich reds, and the current trend of simple dark furniture.
